AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, October 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Teledata Networks, a leading provider of wireline access products and Next Generation Network (NGN) solutions for telecom operators and service providers worldwide, announced today the successful participation of its access systems, BroadAccess and HighPGate, in the Multiservice Switching Forum (MSF) Global MSF Interoperability (GMI) 2004 event.

The GMI 2004 event took place on October 4-16, and was hosted by major carriers in North America, the UK, Japan and Korea. Its objective was to implement and test a deployable and operationally ready Voice over IP Next Generation Network with Network Management, enhanced Quality of Service (QoS) and security features - a full end-to-end customer ready deployable network.

In the framework of GMI 2004, Teledata Networks' BroadAccess Integrated Multiservice Access Platform (IMAP) and HighPGate Multiservice Access Gateway interoperated with a variety of NGN elements from different vendors, and demonstrated support for voice features and supplementary services. The two systems were deployed as part of end-to-end NGN environment which included softswitches (call agents), access gateways, IP phones, media servers, and bandwidth managers of other leading vendors.

"Teledata Networks' participation in the event has shown our systems' NGN technology to be mature and ready for deployment, in addition to its standard compliance and interoperability with other elements in the network," said Amnon Unger, CEO, Teledata Networks. "We see BroadAccess and HighPGate as systems designed for the multiservice, multi-vendor global networks of the future, and therefore attach much significance to the GMI 2004 results."

"The companies that have committed to participating in GMI 2004 are the Who's Who of the telecommunications industry," said Roger Ward, MSF President. "The framework that we provide, architecture, protocol definition and profiling, through to global interoperability testing of MSF Implementation Agreement fosters true collaboration that results in real agreements between industry leaders."
