PALO ALTO, Calif. and QUEBEC, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Coveo, Inc., pioneer of integrated and secure search solutions for the desktop, Intranet and Web, today announced the release of Coveo Enterprise Search (CES) 3.5, its flagship search solution for businesses, organizations and Government entities. This latest release provides an integrated, end-to-end content access tool with built-in security and data protection. According to IDC studies, users spend between 15% and 30% of their time seeking information and are successful in finding the right information only 50% of the time or less. In addition, new legislation requires organizations to protect confidential data and limit access to information to only authorized users. CES 3.5 offers a new approach to information access and security to provide continual benefit across the organization. Using CES, IT administrators can securely disseminate corporate knowledge and end users can easily discover and access information. This CES 3.5 release provides users with a unified view of various information sources, allowing them to quickly and easily locate desired email and attachments, local files, and documents stored in on Intranet file servers. Businesses and organizations benefit though tangible productivity gains, better decision making and compliance with regulations addressing data protection. "Coveo Enterprise Search has played an important role in making our Intranet a convenient and searchable repository for company documents," says Mark Rowell, Director of IT for Spectra Physics. "Its performance led us to the expansion of the tool to our engineering and marketing organizations." On the desktop, by default CES does not index content resulting from Web browsing, allowing the software to be used without restrictions on shared computers. In addition, CES does not collect or record any user activity or data and maintains the highest user privacy standards. Because CES is targeted at businesses and organizations, there are no advertisements. "By extending the power of Coveo Enterprise Search to the desktop, we've enabled customers to provide a highly relevant and more streamlined search experience to users in the most secure manner possible," said Laurent Simoneau, Coveo President and CEO. "In addition to huge productivity gains, one of the biggest advantages our integrated solution offers is standardization of search across the enterprise." With advanced summarization and concept extraction technologies, Coveo Enterprise Search continues to deliver highly accurate search results. Because CES 3.5 uses the latest industry standards, integration with existing applications and custom configurations can be handled in-house. About Coveo Inc.
