July 26 TechOnline Webcast To Help System Designers Select Optimal
PCI Bridge, Upgrade Existing Designs to Higher-Performing PCI
PLX Technology (Nasdaq:PLXT), (www.plxtech.com), the leading
supplier of standard I/O interconnect silicon to the communications,
server, storage, embedded-control, and consumer industries, today
announced it will deliver next week its second TechOnline
(www.techonline.com) Webcast on PCI-to-PCI bridging. The Monday, July
26 (10:00 a.m. PDT) PLX(R) Webcast, titled "Useful Tips for the PCI
System Designer, Part Two: How To Ensure Broad Compatibility with
Legacy PCI Systems," is structured to provide systems architects and
board designers with an understanding of compatibility issues
surrounding PCI bridging options, along with the knowledge to select
and configure the optimal bridge for specific applications.
"Design engineers continue to face the challenge of selecting the
right PCI bridge for the systems and add-in boards they develop, with
compatibility being one of the foremost issues," said Steve Moore,
senior product marketing manager at PLX, who will deliver the July 26
online seminar. "This Webcast is intended to help those engineers sort
through and understand the options they have to meet this challenge.
With this knowledge, they'll be better able to address the full
spectrum of bus requirements, from legacy 32-bit PCI add-in cards and
motherboards to full PCI-X 133MHz designs."
Blending Expertise, Commitment
"Useful Tips for the PCI System Designer, Part Two: How To Ensure
Broad Compatibility with Legacy PCI Systems" is the latest in a series
of TechOnline Webcasts PLX has delivered, which to date has reached an
audience of well over 3500 design engineers and other participants. As
with its previous TechOnline seminars, the July 26 Webcast blends
PLX's long, successful history in the I/O interconnect market with its
commitment to industry-wide understanding of the latest technology
serving that market.
