London—Designed to bring mobile TV and data services to handheld devices for worldwide markets, Frontier Silicon has developed the Paradiso1H, part number FS1031, DVB-H receiver that offers a small footprint and low power consumption.
Using system-in-package (SiP) techniques, Paradiso1H integrates an RF tuner, multi-standard baseband IC functions and ancillary passive components. According to Frontier Silicon, the baseband chip consumes less than 15mW in a typical DVB-H application.
Paradiso1H is housed in a single-chip ball-grid array (BGA) package, enabling manufacturers to build DVB-H-enabled handsets and other products in a very small form factor.
