Embedded Linux Development Tools for Pentium-class Processors
TechOnline

Processors based on the flexible Pentium architecture are the most popular processors available today. TimeSys provides a LinuxLink subscription for Pentium-class processors for a 14-day evaluation period. Embedded developers can use the evaluation subscription to rapidly determine how LinuxLink by TimeSys can speed and simplify the creation of a commercial-grade custom Linux platform for any target processor (not just a Pentium-based processor). LinuxLink by TimeSys is a subscription that includes code for embedded Linux, code updates and a developers forum where developers from TimeSys and processor manufacturers answer embedded questions. The subscription enables developers to rapidly create their own commercial-grade custom Linux platforms.

The LinuxLink evaluation subscription can be used to build a uClibc root filesystem (RFS), boot the Linux kernel with their newly created RFS, download a source or binary package and add it to their RFS, build a flash filesystem and reuse their new RFS in a variety of formats. Use the evaluation to get a first-hand glimpse of how LinuxLink can aid efforts targeting any processor.

For more information, visit the Pentium page at the TimeSys Web site.
