It's a task that calls for RF, timing and modulation measurements. You'll need a tool that can trigger on the transient events that signify RFID activity, then capture and analyze the dialogue between the Tag and the Interrogator. As well as a tool for modulation analysis, and perhaps one for compliance tests as well.
Or you can use just one tool to do it all: the Tektronix Real-Time Spectrum Analyzer (RTSA). Seven Models are ready to handle the whole range of RFID measurements, including: frequency (carrier frequency, OBW and more); timing (Carrier Rise/Fall Time, Settling Time, more) and modulation (Symbol Table, Depth, etc.); and of course all of the applicable compliance tests (ISO 18000-Part 6 Type A, B, C and others).
