The AEDA-3300 is designed for high operating temperatures, very high resolutions & operating at high frequencies for a wide variety of applications. It is designed as a kit package, which includes the codewheel, sensor and bearing stage.

Resolutions are available from 600 through 20,000 CPR with further possible quadrature decoding for a maximum of 80,000 pulses. The operating temperature ranges from -40 degree Celcius through 125 degree Celcius with the maximum operating frequency at 1Mhz.

The design uses transmissive technology and produces a 3-channel output (A, B & Z). The total package size is 17mm x H24mm for the bottom up mounting version, while the package size of (17+11)mm x H(24+3)mm is for top down mounting due to the coupling plate. This makes it one of the smallest and high performance encoder in the market.
